Hlavn\u00ed pracovn\u00ed cestou expozice kobaltu je vdechov\u00e1n\u00ed \u010d\u00e1stic kobaltu. Expozice kobaltu je spojena se zv\u00fd\u0161en\u00fdm rizikem plicn\u00edch a srde\u010dn\u00edch onemocn\u011bn\u00ed. Kovov\u00fd kobalt a n\u011bkolik jeho slou\u010denin jsou podle CLP na\u0159\u00edzen\u00ed o klasifikaci ozna\u010dov\u00e1n\u00ed a balen\u00ed l\u00e1tek a sm\u011bs\u00ed harmonizovan\u011b klasifikov\u00e1ny jako karcinogenn\u00ed kategorie 1B, co\u017e znamen\u00e1, \u017ee u lid\u00ed pravd\u011bpodobn\u011b zp\u016fsobuj\u00ed rakovinu. Krom\u011b toho se po expozici kovov\u00e9mu kobaltu nebo Slou\u010denin\u00e1m kobaltu m\u016f\u017ee objevit alergick\u00e1 ko\u017en\u00ed reakce nebo alergick\u00e9 astma.
