Za prim\u00e1rn\u00ed cestu expozice se pova\u017euje vdechov\u00e1n\u00ed, pracovn\u00edci v\u0161ak mohou b\u00fdt vystaveni p\u016fsoben\u00ed t\u00e9to l\u00e1tky i prost\u0159ednictv\u00edm ko\u017en\u00edho kontaktu. Epichlorhydrin se d\u00e1le pou\u017e\u00edv\u00e1 ve speci\u00e1ln\u00edch prysky\u0159ic\u00edch a polymerech pro \u00fapravu vody, v prysky\u0159ic\u00edch s vysokou pevnost\u00ed za mokra pro pap\u00edrensk\u00fd pr\u016fmysl nebo prost\u0159ednictv\u00edm iontov\u00e9 v\u00fdm\u011bny k \u010di\u0161t\u011bn\u00ed vzduchu a vody. Krom\u011b toho se pou\u017e\u00edv\u00e1 jako rozpou\u0161t\u011bdlo pro estery a ethery celul\u00f3zy, p\u0159i zpracov\u00e1n\u00ed vlny a bavlny a v gum\u00e1rensk\u00e9m pr\u016fmyslu.
