Natriumdichromat, der oprindeligt blev leveret og h\u00e5ndteret som fast, rent stof, er blevet erstattet med en vandig opl\u00f8sning, der modtages i bulk. Denne opl\u00f8sning opbevares i en lagertank og h\u00e5ndteres kun i et lukket kredsl\u00f8b ved hj\u00e6lp af et automatisk system for at minimere cyklus\u00e5bningen. P\u00e5 denne m\u00e5de foreg\u00e5r alle operationer i et lukket system fra opbevaring til reaktion, hvilket minimerer \u00e5bningen af cyklussen og arbejdernes eksponering. R\u00e5materialet afl\u00e6sses kun fra tankbilen en gang hvert tredje \u00e5r under en detaljeret og kontrolleret afl\u00e6sningsprocedure, og vedligeholdelsesaktiviteterne udf\u00f8res under en strengt kontrolleret tilstandsdisciplin.    <\/p>\n<h3><strong>Flere l\u00f8sninger fra Dow Group Italy<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Dow Group i Italien fremstiller en bred vifte af kemiske produkter. Nogle produktioner kr\u00e6ver brug af carcinogene stoffer. Virksomhedens h\u00f8je og konstante opm\u00e6rksomhed p\u00e5 deres arbejderes sundhed og milj\u00f8et har v\u00e6ret den udl\u00f8sende faktor for at forbedre processer og driftsprocedurer, hvor disse stoffer er involveret.  <\/p>\n<p>De tre f\u00f8lgende cases er eksempler p\u00e5 bedste praksis for at forbedre processerne (f\u00f8rste case) eller h\u00e5ndteringen af carcinogene r\u00e5materialer (anden og tredje case) for at reducere arbejdernes potentielle eksponering:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>CASE 1: <a href=\"https:\/\/stopcarcinogensatwork.eu\/good-practice\/use-12-dichloroethane-edc-strictly-controlled-conditions\/\">Brug af 1,2-dichlorethan (EDC) under strengt kontrollerede forhold<\/a><\/li>\n<li>CASE 2: Brug af vandig opl\u00f8sning i stedet for fast, rent stof (nuv\u00e6rende case)<\/li>\n<li>CASE 3: <a href=\"https:\/\/stopcarcinogensatwork.eu\/good-practice\/dry-disconnect-couplers-used-unloading-hazardous-material-road-bulks-minibulks-ibc-containers\/\">Dry Disconnect-koblinger brugt til afl\u00e6sning af farligt materiale fra vejbulks og minibulks\/IBC-containere<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Resultater<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Den fulde implementering af disse bedste praksisser har haft stor indflydelse p\u00e5 de steder, hvor de er blevet anvendt. P\u00e5 trods af at problemerne var forskellige, og l\u00f8sningerne naturligvis ogs\u00e5 var forskellige, havde de alle et f\u00e6lles resultat: en effektiv reduktion af arbejdernes eksponering for carcinogene stoffer. Det f\u00f8rste tilf\u00e6lde er et eksempel p\u00e5 en kompleks god praksis, som ogs\u00e5 forbedrer produktionsprocessen og brugen af r\u00e5materialer. Den anden gode praksis gjorde det muligt at eliminere h\u00e5ndteringen af et fast carcinogent stof og inds\u00e6tte arbejdet i en lukket cyklus. Det tredje tilf\u00e6lde er en interessant god praksis, der reducerer eksponeringen, og som let kan anvendes i forbindelse med h\u00e5ndtering af farlige materialer generelt.
