I 2022 resulterede arbejdsulykker i 3.286 arbejderes d\u00f8d, hvilket understreger en betydelig bekymring. Men vidste du, at der hvert \u00e5r d\u00f8r over 100.000 (tidligere) arbejdere som f\u00f8lge af eksponering for kr\u00e6ftfremkaldende stoffer p\u00e5 arbejdspladsen? Og det, der g\u00f8r dette tal endnu mere chokerende, er det faktum, at det kunne have v\u00e6ret forhindret. P\u00e5 World Cancer Day<\/a> den 4. februar opfordrer Roadmap on Carcinogens virksomheder til at tage ansvar for at skabe et sikkert arbejdsmilj\u00f8. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Kr\u00e6ft for\u00e5rsaget af eksponering for carcinogener p\u00e5 arbejdspladsen er en betydelig, men ofte overset erhvervsrisiko. Arbejdere i brancher som fremstilling, bygge- og anl\u00e6gsvirksomhed, landbrug og sundhedsv\u00e6sen kan v\u00e6re udsat for h\u00f8jere risici p\u00e5 grund af langvarig eksponering for disse skadelige stoffer. <\/p>\n

Forenet af unikke<\/h2>\n

World Cancer Day’s tema er “united by unique”: alle kr\u00e6ftpatienter deler diagnosen, men deres historie er unik. Det samme g\u00e6lder for arbejdere eller tidligere arbejdere, der lider af kr\u00e6ft for\u00e5rsaget af uds\u00e6ttelse for farlige stoffer p\u00e5 arbejdspladsen. Deres unikke historier forenes af det faktum, at det kunne have v\u00e6ret forhindret. <\/p>\n

Almindelige carcinogener p\u00e5 arbejdspladsen omfatter asbest, benzen, Formaldehyd og visse tungmetaller. Asbest har f.eks. v\u00e6ret meget brugt i bygge- og anl\u00e6gsvirksomhed og har f\u00f8rt til sygdomme som mesotheliom og lungekr\u00e6ft. Benzen, et kemikalie, der findes i br\u00e6ndstoffer og opl\u00f8sningsmidler, er blevet sat i forbindelse med leuk\u00e6mi og andre former for blodkr\u00e6ft. Kr\u00e6ftfremkaldende stoffer kan v\u00e6re en ingrediens i produkter, men ogs\u00e5 v\u00e6re resultatet af en proces (procesgenererede carcinogener), f.eks. i svejser\u00f8g eller emissioner fra dieselmotorer. <\/p>\n

S\u00e5dan forebygger du eksponering<\/h2>\n

Risikoen for at udvikle kr\u00e6ft fra carcinogener p\u00e5 arbejdspladsen afh\u00e6nger af typen og niveauet af eksponering, varighed og individuel modtagelighed. Arbejdsgivere er juridisk og etisk forpligtede til at minimere disse risici ved hj\u00e6lp af sikkerhedsforanstaltninger og ved at f\u00f8lge STOP-strategien.
