Traditionell wird das biologische Material der Proben mit Formaldehyd konserviert, das sowohl kanzerogen als auch sensibilisierend ist. <\/p>\n<h2>Eine alternative Methode<\/h2>\n<p>Eine alternative Methode, die von der Direction Regionale de l&#8217;Environnement (DREN) Lorraine-France ver\u00f6ffentlicht wurde, verwendet weniger gef\u00e4hrliche Mittel. Sie besteht darin, die Proben zu eluieren und einen schwimmenden Teil, der sich aus wirbellosen Tieren zusammensetzt und in Ethanol aufbewahrt wird, von einem sedimentierten Teil (Sand, Steine) zu trennen, der an Ort und Stelle eingefroren wird. Proben, die zu klein sind, um sie zu elutriieren, werden vollst\u00e4ndig in Ethanol aufbewahrt, w\u00e4hrend die nicht elutriierbaren Proben (Schlamm) vollst\u00e4ndig eingefroren werden.
