Europaweit sind jedoch sch\u00e4tzungsweise 36 Millionen Besch\u00e4ftigte der nat\u00fcrlichen ultravioletten Strahlung (UVR) der Sonne und etwa 1 Million der UVR aus k\u00fcnstlichen Quellen ausgesetzt. Die UV-Strahlung wirkt sich vor allem auf die Haut und die Augen aus. Sowohl die solare als auch die k\u00fcnstliche UV-Strahlung werden inzwischen als f\u00fcr den Menschen kanzerogen eingestuft (IARC-Gruppe 1).   <\/p>\n<h2>Was Sie tun k\u00f6nnen<\/h2>\n<p>Bei solarer UVR ist es nicht m\u00f6glich, die Risikoquelle (die Sonne) zu ersetzen. Wenn jedoch k\u00fcnstliche UVR verwendet werden soll oder ungewollt auftritt, muss im Voraus eine Substitutionspr\u00fcfung durchgef\u00fchrt werden. <\/p>\n<p>Grunds\u00e4tzlich bietet eine sinnvolle Kombination aus technischen, organisatorischen und pers\u00f6nlichen Ma\u00dfnahmen den besten Schutz vor UV-Strahlung.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Zu den <strong>technischen Ma\u00dfnahmen<\/strong> geh\u00f6ren alle Formen der Abschirmung und Beschattung, z.B. Vord\u00e4cher an station\u00e4ren und Sonnenschirme an nicht-station\u00e4ren Arbeitspl\u00e4tzen im Freien.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Organisatorische Ma\u00dfnahmen<\/strong> zielen darauf ab, die Dauer der Exposition zu reduzieren. Dazu geh\u00f6ren zum Beispiel die Verlagerung von Arbeitsaktivit\u00e4ten in schattige oder abgeschirmte Bereiche, die nur wenig oder gar nicht exponiert sind, und die Verlegung der Arbeitszeit in die fr\u00fchen Morgen- und sp\u00e4ten Abendstunden (bei Arbeiten im Freien). Die Verteilung der Arbeitst\u00e4tigkeiten auf mehrere Besch\u00e4ftigte und die Beschr\u00e4nkung des Zugangs zu UV-Strahlen ausgesetzten Arbeitspl\u00e4tzen in Innenr\u00e4umen durch Schilder oder Etiketten sind ebenfalls Beispiele f\u00fcr organisatorische Ma\u00dfnahmen.  <\/li>\n<li><strong>Pers\u00f6nliche Ma\u00dfnahmen<\/strong> wie eine Kopfbedeckung mit breiter Krempe und Nackenschutz, Schutzbrillen (Sonnenbrillen oder speziell entwickelte Schutzbrillen f\u00fcr k\u00fcnstliche UV-Strahlung), Gesichtsschutzschilde und Visiere sowie Kleidung und Handschuhe, die den ganzen K\u00f6rper bedecken, sind oft obligatorisch.
