La forme liquide de l&rsquo;Oxyde d \u00bb \u00e9thyl\u00e8ne peut provoquer une grave irritation de la peau en cas d&rsquo;exposition prolong\u00e9e ou confin\u00e9e. <\/p>\n<h2>O\u00f9 se situent les risques ?<\/h2>\n<p>Le risque d&rsquo;exposition \u00e0 l&rsquo;Oxyde d&rsquo;\u00e9thyl\u00e8ne est \u00e9lev\u00e9 pour les travailleurs des services m\u00e9dicaux, de l&rsquo;imprimerie, de la fabrication de produits chimiques industriels, de la fabrication de caoutchouc et de plastique.<\/p>\n<h2>En savoir plus sur la substance<\/h2>\n<p>L&rsquo;Oxyde d&rsquo;\u00e9thyl\u00e8ne est un gaz inflammable et incolore \u00e0 des temp\u00e9ratures sup\u00e9rieures \u00e0 10,7 \u00b0C qui sent l&rsquo;\u00e9ther \u00e0 des niveaux toxiques. Sa densit\u00e9 est sup\u00e9rieure \u00e0 celle de l&rsquo;air, ce qui signifie qu&rsquo;il peut facilement se r\u00e9pandre au niveau du sol. L&rsquo;oxyde d&rsquo;\u00e9thyl\u00e8ne entre dans la fabrication de solvants, d&rsquo;antigels, de textiles, de d\u00e9tergents, d&rsquo;adh\u00e9sifs, de mousse de polyur\u00e9thane et de produits pharmaceutiques. L&rsquo;Oxyde d&rsquo;\u00e9thyl\u00e8ne est principalement utilis\u00e9 comme interm\u00e9diaire chimique dans la fabrication de l&rsquo;\u00e9thyl\u00e8ne glycol. Si les produits contenant de l&rsquo;oxyde d&rsquo;\u00e9thyl\u00e8ne ne peuvent pas \u00eatre remplac\u00e9s, l&rsquo;exposition \u00e0 l&rsquo;oxyde d&rsquo;\u00e9thyl\u00e8ne doit \u00eatre r\u00e9duite par des mesures d&rsquo;ing\u00e9nierie. Par exemple, installer des syst\u00e8mes de ventilation sans \u00e9tincelles et pr\u00e9voir des douches oculaires et des douches de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 en cas de risque de contact ou d&rsquo;\u00e9claboussures.   Effectuer en permanence des mesures d&rsquo;exposition correctes afin de savoir quand il convient d&rsquo;agir. V\u00e9rifier si les travailleurs signalent des sympt\u00f4mes pr\u00e9coces. Sensibiliser en permanence les travailleurs aux effets de l&rsquo;exposition. En outre, formez les travailleurs aux dangers, aux pratiques de travail s\u00fbres et aux mesures d&rsquo;hygi\u00e8ne efficaces.   <\/p>\n<p>Pour se prot\u00e9ger au niveau individuel, les travailleurs doivent porter des lunettes et des v\u00eatements de protection appropri\u00e9s pour prot\u00e9ger la peau \u00e0 tout moment dans les zones o\u00f9 il existe un risque d&rsquo;\u00e9claboussures d&rsquo;Oxyde d&rsquo;\u00e9thyl\u00e8ne liquide. Tous les v\u00eatements qui ont \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9grad\u00e9s par l&rsquo;Oxyde d&rsquo;\u00e9thyl\u00e8ne doivent \u00eatre jet\u00e9s.
