Dans une entreprise de fabrication de chaussures situ\u00e9e dans la r\u00e9gion de La Rioja, en Espagne, deux solvants \u00e9taient utilis\u00e9s pour le tannage du cuir destin\u00e9 \u00e0 la fabrication de chaussures. Une substitution a \u00e9t\u00e9 effectu\u00e9e car plusieurs travailleurs \u00e9taient affect\u00e9s par une s\u00e9rie de probl\u00e8mes de sant\u00e9, notamment des vomissements, des vertiges et des maux de t\u00eate.<\/p>\n

Les sympt\u00f4mes les plus alarmants ont \u00e9t\u00e9 les crises d’\u00e9pilepsie subies par deux travailleurs apr\u00e8s 10 heures de travail continu avec des solvants dans un processus de tannage.<\/p>\n

Les produits dangereux ont \u00e9t\u00e9 remplac\u00e9s par un solvant dont le seul composant nocif est l’ac\u00e9tone. L’entreprise a \u00e9galement d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de commander du cuir pr\u00e9tann\u00e9 afin de r\u00e9duire l’utilisation de produits chimiques.
