Mineralna pra\u0161ina predstavlja najve\u0107i rizik od bolesti plu\u0107a uzrokovanih okoli\u0161em u rudarstvu, gra\u0111evinarstvu i nekim drugim industrijama. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Respirabilni kristalni silicijev dioksid (RCS) klasificiran je od strane IARC-a kao karcinogen 1. skupine, \u0161to zna\u010di da se smatra definitivnim uzro\u010dnikom raka kod ljudi. RCS mo\u017ee uzrokovati te\u0161ke respiratorne bolesti, pa \u010dak i rak plu\u0107a uz produljenu izlo\u017eenost, a rizik nastaje udisanjem pra\u0161ine. <\/p>\n<h2>Gdje se javljaju rizici<\/h2>\n<p>Izlo\u017eenost silicijevoj pra\u0161ini javlja se uglavnom u povr\u0161inskom i podzemnom rudarstvu te u gra\u0111evinarstvu (niskogradnji i podzemnom in\u017eenjerstvu). U podru\u010dju podzemnog in\u017eenjerstva posebno vrijedi spomenuti podru\u010dja zemljanih radova, gradnje stijena i tunela. Osim toga, grane u kojima se kristalni silicijev dioksid koristi kao sirovina uklju\u010duju cementnu industriju, kemijsku, kerami\u010dku i staklarsku industriju (pijesak za taljenje stakla), ljevaonicu (ljevaoni\u010dki pijesak) te industriju gume, plastike i boja (punilo). Velike emisije pra\u0161ine koje mogu sadr\u017eavati respirabilni kristalni silicijev dioksid mogu\u0107e su i u poljoprivredi ili hortikulturi. U ve\u0107ini slu\u010dajeva radnici su zaposleni u mikropoduze\u0107ima s najvi\u0161e devet zaposlenika.    <\/p>\n<p>Silicijeva pra\u0161ina uglavnom nastaje tijekom va\u0111enja i obrade sirovina koje sadr\u017ee minerale koji sadr\u017ee silicijev dioksid. Osim toga, silicijeva pra\u0161ina nastaje (uglavnom mehaniziranim, brzim) operacijama obrade kao \u0161to su rezanje, piljenje, bu\u0161enje, mljevenje i drobljenje stijena, betona, asfalta, morta, cigle i kerami\u010dkih proizvoda. Ostale aktivnosti uklju\u010duju rukovanje, mije\u0161anje ili lopatanje suhih materijala koji sadr\u017ee kristalni silicijev dioksid, a procesi poput \u010di\u0161\u0107enja pijeskom ili staklom komprimiranim zrakom mogu dovesti do osloba\u0111anja silicijeve pra\u0161ine.  <\/p>\n<p>Pra\u0161ina koja se ve\u0107 slegnula mo\u017ee se ponovno podi\u0107i u zrak kada je podignu vozila ili vjetar, \u0161to mo\u017ee izlo\u017eiti i ljude koji stoje na gradili\u0161tu.<\/p>\n<h2>Vi\u0161e o supstanci<\/h2>\n<p>Kristalni silicijev dioksid ili silicijev dioksid drugi je naj\u010de\u0161\u0107i mineral u Zemljinoj kori. Javlja se u razli\u010ditim koli\u010dinama u ve\u0107ini stijena i \u010dini ve\u0107inu svjetskih naslaga pijeska. U manjim koli\u010dinama nalazi se i u glini. Proizvodi u kojima je silicijev dioksid vezan nisu opasni. Me\u0111utim, tijekom va\u0111enja i obrade, tj. pjeskarenja, rezanja, usitnjavanja, bu\u0161enja, bru\u0161enja itd. proizvoda koji sadr\u017ee silicijev dioksid, mogu se proizvesti male \u010destice koje mogu u\u0107i u plu\u0107a i ugroziti ih (\u201erespirabilni kristalni silicijev dioksid\u201c).    <\/p>\n<h2>Opasnosti koje se mogu pojaviti<\/h2>\n<p>Glavni zdravstveni u\u010dinak udisanja kristalne pra\u0161ine silicija je razvoj silikoze. Silikoza je trajno o\u017eiljavanje plu\u0107a zbog udisanja pra\u0161ine silicija. Pri fizi\u010dkom naporu javljaju se pote\u0161ko\u0107e s disanjem koje se ponekad razvijaju u kratko\u0107u daha u mirovanju. Neki ljudi tako\u0111er imaju ka\u0161alj sa ili bez iska\u0161ljavanja. Rani simptomi silikoze mogu biti i sklonost razvoju respiratornih infekcija. Nije jasno kako to\u010dno respirabilni kristalni silicij uzrokuje rak plu\u0107a &#8211; najvjerojatniji uzrok je nakupljanje pra\u0161ine u plu\u0107ima. Njegova toksi\u010dnost ote\u017eava prirodnim obrambenim mehanizmima tijela uklanjanje pra\u0161ine, pa ona ostaje u plu\u0107nom tkivu i uzrokuje stalnu upalu.      <\/p>\n<h2>\u0160to mo\u017eete u\u010diniti<\/h2>\n<p>Najbolje rje\u0161enje je sprije\u010diti stvaranje \u010destica zamjenom, na primjer kori\u0161tenjem proizvoda s niskom koncentracijom pra\u0161ine (npr. roba u silosima umjesto robe u vre\u0107ama). Ako zamjena nije mogu\u0107a, izlo\u017eenost silicijskoj pra\u0161ini treba sprije\u010diti ili barem smanjiti. Sprje\u010davanje ili smanjenje pra\u0161ine mo\u017eete posti\u0107i kori\u0161tenjem metoda rada s niskom koncentracijom pra\u0161ine i strojeva koji rade s ekstrakcijom ili mokrom obradom. Redovito \u010distite radna podru\u010dja i radne prostorije, izbjegavajte naslage pra\u0161ine i, \u0161to je najva\u017enije, izbjegavajte ponovno dizanje pra\u0161ine tijekom \u010di\u0161\u0107enja (tj. nemojte suho meteti ili puhati, ve\u0107 koristite usisava\u010de pra\u0161ine ili usisava\u010de). Kontinuirano pratite dolazi li do stvaranja pra\u0161ine i potrebno je prilagoditi mjere upravljanja rizikom.    <\/p>\n<p>U slu\u010daju aktivnosti s puno pra\u0161ine, radna podru\u010dja treba podijeliti na odvojene prostore u kojima se rad mo\u017ee obavljati uzastopno kako bi se sprije\u010dio kontakt tre\u0107ih osoba s pra\u0161inom.<\/p>\n<p>Osobna za\u0161titna oprema (za\u0161tita di\u0161nih puteva) treba se koristiti samo kao krajnje rje\u0161enje kada tehni\u010dke mjere nisu dovoljne za za\u0161titu korisnika od udisanja \u0161tetnih pra\u0161ina, para ili plinova.
