De producent beveelt het filter aan voor zwembaden, maar ook voor industri\u00eble toepassingen. Naast de gezondheidsaspecten heeft het glasfilter nog andere voordelen ten opzichte van zand en zeolieten, zoals de producent aangeeft:  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Het verbruikt minder spoelwater<\/li>\n<li>De deeltjesgrootte is vergelijkbaar met die van zeolieten (2-5 micron) en beter dan die van zand (50-100 micron).<\/li>\n<li>Zal minder snel blokkeren of kanaliseren<\/li>\n<li>Het gaat langer mee<\/li>\n<li>Het zorgt voor een betere
