Het inschatten van de emissies van en blootstelling aan gevaarlijke stoffen gedurende de levenscyclus van een product kan een vervelende en moeilijke taak zijn. Toch is het een noodzakelijke taak voor de REACH-registratie en autorisatie van een stof of product. De HotSpot Scan tool vergemakkelijkt dit proces aanzienlijk en voorziet de gebruiker van gegevens uit verschillende bronnen. <\/em><\/p>\n

Productlevenscyclus en schattingen van releases<\/strong><\/h2>\n

De HotSpotScan (HSS)-tool helpt de gebruiker bij het opbouwen van de levenscyclus van een product met verschillende fasen, zoals de productie van de stof, de formulering, het gebruik, de levensduur en het einde van de levensduur. Door een aantal basisvragen over de stof- en proceseigenschappen te beantwoorden, krijgt de gebruiker de relevante schattingen te zien van de uitstoot in het milieu en de binnenlucht die worden geleverd door (i) EUSES<\/a> (European Union System for the Evaluation of Substances, het hulpmiddel voor het schatten van emissies in REACH-dossiers) en (ii) (specifieke) milieucategorie\u00ebn voor uitstoot zoals geleverd door ECHA<\/a>. De gebruiker kan er ook voor kiezen om deze schattingen te negeren en indien nodig eigen waarden op te geven. <\/p>\n

Breed scala aan industri\u00eble toepassingscategorie\u00ebn<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Het HSS gereedschap kan worden gebruikt voor een breed scala aan toepassingen. De tool dekt verschillende industriecategorie\u00ebn, waaronder lijmen en afdichtingsmiddelen, bouwchemicali\u00ebn, elektrische\/elektronische industrie, oplosmiddelen en meer. Nadat u een van deze categorie\u00ebn hebt geselecteerd, kunt u fase voor fase de volledige levenscyclus van een product opbouwen. <\/p>\n
