In bepaalde industrie\u00ebn, zoals de auto-industrie, worden nog steeds gevaarlijke en\/of carcinogenen chemicali\u00ebn gebruikt. Gelukkig heeft de auto-industrie de afgelopen tien jaar steeds meer laten zien dat ze maatschappelijk verantwoord ondernemen. Voornamelijk de verfontkistingssystemen zijn een aandachtsgebied geweest. Deze systemen worden gebruikt bij het onderhoud van autolakcabines om verfresten te laten drijven of zinken, zodat het gemakkelijker wordt om het afval schoon te maken en af te voeren. De systemen stonden in de belangstelling omdat voor de behandeling melamineformaldehyde werd gebruikt. Er groeide bezorgdheid bij milieubewuste fabrikanten over de mogelijke gevolgen van formaldehyde voor het milieu, evenals bij organisaties op het gebied van de gezondheid op het werk, vanwege het feit dat formaldehyde carcinogenen zijn.      <\/p>\n<h2><u>Oplossing<\/u><\/h2>\n<p>Ecolab wordt gezien als de wereldwijde leider in water-, hygi\u00ebne- en energietechnologie\u00ebn en -diensten. Ecolab ontwikkelde door middel van uitgebreid onderzoek en strenge praktijktesten de zogenaamde &#8220;APEX verfontkistingstechnologie&#8221;. Deze chemie maakt geen gebruik van formaldehyde en is volledig gemaakt van hernieuwbare bronnen. Dit betekent dat het geen gevaarlijke of carcinogenen chemicali\u00ebn bevat en volledig biologisch afbreekbaar is.   <\/p>\n<h2><u>Resultaten<\/u><\/h2>\n<p>Het APEX-programma helpt het gebruik van chemicali\u00ebn, vast afval, waterverbruik en de totale bedrijfskosten te verminderen en levert tegelijkertijd superieure prestaties. Daarom kreeg het erkenning voor superieure innovatie, technologische vooruitgang en bedrijfsprestaties van de Automotive News PACE (Premier Automotive Suppliers Contribution to Excellence) Award in 2012. De APEX-technologie is met succes ge\u00efmplementeerd in spuitcabinesystemen met allerlei soorten verf (polyurethanen, 2K blanke lakken, primers met hoge vaste stoffen, basislakken met hoge vaste stoffen op basis van oplosmiddelen en basislakken met hoge vaste stoffen op basis van water).
