Sommige daarvan zijn niet beheersbaar, zoals de wereldeconomie, weersextremen en klimaatverandering. Maar boeren hebben wel controle over gezondheid en veiligheid, bijvoorbeeld bij het werken met gevaarlijke stoffen. Gevaarlijke stoffen zijn in vele vormen aanwezig in de land- en bosbouw. Bijvoorbeeld: Pesticiden, brandstoffen en chemicali\u00ebn, maar ook mest en dierlijke vloeistoffen. Deze gevaarlijke stoffen kunnen vergiftiging, maagstoornissen, kanker, chronische ziekten en de dood veroorzaken.     <\/p>\n<h2>Oplossing<\/h2>\n<p>Het is niet mogelijk om alle gevaarlijke stoffen uit de Landbouw in Europa te verbannen. Maar het is belangrijk dat boeren weten hoe ze met gevaarlijke stoffen moeten omgaan en wat ze wel en niet moeten doen. Daarom heeft de Europese Commissie een richtlijn ontwikkeld genaamd: &#8220;Bescherming van de gezondheid en veiligheid van werknemers in de landbouw, veeteelt, tuinbouw en bosbouw&#8221;. Deze richtlijn geeft achtergrondinformatie over gezondheid en veiligheid, met een specifiek hoofdstuk over gevaarlijke stoffen.   <\/p>\n<h2>Resultaten<\/h2>\n<p>De richtlijn informeert boeren om aan het volgende te denken bij het gebruik van gevaarlijke stoffen:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Zorg ervoor dat ze zijn goedgekeurd door de nationale bevoegde autoriteiten;<\/li>\n<li>Lees het etiket en volg de instructies van de fabrikant;<\/li>\n<li>Gebruik schone persoonlijke beschermingsmiddelen;<\/li>\n<li>Niet mengen met andere gevaarlijke stoffen;<\/li>\n<li>Niet spuiten in winderige omstandigheden of tegen de wind in<\/li>\n<li>Laat geen oplossingen achter zonder etiket of zonder toezicht.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Als deze regels worden gevolgd, kunnen de risico&#8217;s van het werken met gevaarlijke stoffen worden beperkt.<\/p>\n<p>De gids is beschikbaar in 22 van de offici\u00eble
