Er werken ongeveer 1400 mensen in dit houtbedrijf. In 2000 lanceerde het bedrijf een programma om de veiligheid en gezondheid van werknemers te verbeteren en om de belangrijkste gevaarlijke factoren op de werkplek aan te pakken, namelijk blootstelling aan houtstof. Barlinek S.A. wil de gezondheid van werknemers beschermen door:   <\/p>\n<p>a) eliminatie of vermindering van de belangrijkste gevaarlijke factoren op de werkplekken (chemische stoffen, houtstof en lawaai)<br \/>\nb) toepassing van materialen, onderdelen en technologische processen die aan de veiligheidseisen voldoen, bijvoorbeeld door geen explosiegevaar te cre\u00ebren<br \/>\nc) vermindering van het aantal materialen en onderdelen dat in productieprocessen wordt gebruikt en vermindering van de hoeveelheid houtafval (pro-ecologische
