Door de aard van je laswerk en de materialen die je gebruikt in de metaalverwerkende industrie, heb je als lasser direct te maken met blootstelling aan kankerverwekkende stoffen. <\/p>\n<p>Kankerverwekkende risico&#8217;s bij het lassen ontstaan voornamelijk door blootstelling aan lasrook en gassen die tijdens het lasproces vrijkomen. Deze dampen bevatten verschillende gevaarlijke stoffen, waaronder metaaloxiden, gassen en deeltjes, waarvan sommige kankerverwekkend zijn. Lasrook kan bijvoorbeeld kankerverwekkende metalen bevatten zoals zeswaardig chroom, nikkel en mangaan.  <\/p>\n<p>Om deze risico&#8217;s te beperken, moeten lassers prioriteit geven aan veiligheidsmaatregelen en zich houden aan de beste praktijken in hun werkomgeving. Dit omvat het gebruik van plaatselijke afzuigsystemen en het werken in goed geventileerde ruimten om de concentratie van lasrook op de werkplek te verminderen. Daarnaast moeten de juiste persoonlijke beschermingsmiddelen (PPE) worden gedragen, zoals ademhalingstoestellen met filters die ontworpen zijn voor lasrook, handschoenen en beschermende kleding, om blootstelling aan gevaarlijke stoffen te minimaliseren.  <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Als lasser voeg je metalen stukken samen door ze te verhitten tot een smeltpunt en druk uit te oefenen om ze samen te smelten.
