Als varkenshouder houdt u zich bezig met het fokken, houden en beheren van varkens voor verschillende doeleinden, zoals vleesproductie, fokdieren of onderzoek. Hoewel uw beroep misschien niet direct blootstelling aan kankerverwekkende stoffen met zich meebrengt, is het belangrijk dat u zich bewust bent van mogelijke beroepsrisico’s, waaronder risico’s die indirect verband houden met kankerverwekkende risico’s binnen de varkensproductieomgeving. <\/p>\n

Carcinogene risico’s kunnen zich in verschillende vormen voordoen binnen de varkenshouderij, zoals blootstelling aan chemicali\u00ebn die worden gebruikt in voederadditieven, medicijnen of schoonmaakmiddelen. Daarnaast kan blootstelling aan stof, gassen en zwevende deeltjes in varkensfaciliteiten gezondheidsrisico’s voor de luchtwegen opleveren, hoewel deze niet noodzakelijk kankerverwekkend zijn. <\/p>\n
