Als Dakdekkersleerling word je in je functie blootgesteld aan potenti\u00eble gezondheidsrisico’s, waaronder blootstelling aan verschillende stoffen die het risico op het ontwikkelen van gezondheidsproblemen kunnen verhogen. Deze risico’s zijn vaak aanwezig in de dakbedekkingsmaterialen en processen waarmee je regelmatig te maken hebt. Dakbedekkingsmaterialen zoals asbest, bitumen en bepaalde kleefstoffen bevatten stoffen die ernstige gezondheidsrisico’s met zich mee kunnen brengen en kunnen bijdragen aan langetermijngevolgen zoals ademhalingsproblemen, huidproblemen en, in sommige gevallen, een verhoogd risico op kanker. <\/p>\n

Specifieke kankerverwekkende risico’s in verband met dakwerkzaamheden zijn blootstelling aan asbestvezels, wat kan leiden tot longkanker en andere aandoeningen aan de luchtwegen. Bitumen, dat vaak gebruikt wordt in dakbedekkingsmaterialen, laat tijdens het aanbrengen vluchtige organische stoffen (VOC’s) vrij, wat bijdraagt aan mogelijke gezondheidsrisico’s. Daarnaast kunnen bepaalde lijmen en coatings die bij dakbedekking worden gebruikt schadelijke stoffen bevatten, wat het belang van preventieve maatregelen benadrukt. <\/p>\n
