Deze risico&#8217;s kunnen ontstaan door het gebruik van specifieke chemicali\u00ebn en verbindingen in verf, oplosmiddelen en andere voorbereidende materialen. Stoffen zoals benzeen, formaldehyde en vluchtige organische stoffen (VOC&#8217;s) kunnen in deze materialen voorkomen.  <\/p>\n<p>Voortdurende blootstelling aan deze kankerverwekkende stoffen kan het risico op het ontwikkelen van gezondheidseffecten op lange termijn verhogen, waaronder ademhalingsproblemen, huidaandoeningen en een verhoogde kans op bepaalde vormen van kanker zoals longkanker en huidkanker. Om deze risico&#8217;s te beperken, is het essentieel om prioriteit te geven aan veiligheidsmaatregelen en preventieve praktijken te implementeren. <\/p>\n<p>Het kiezen van alternatieve, VOS-arme of VOS-vrije verfsamenstellingen zijn kritieke stappen in het verminderen van de blootstelling aan kankerverwekkende stoffen. Het gebruik van goede ventilatiesystemen is een belangrijke technische maatregel om de potenti\u00eble blootstelling aan kankerverwekkende stoffen te verminderen. Aangezien onjuiste praktijken kunnen bijdragen aan gezondheidsrisico&#8217;s, moeten Verfbereiders en -mengers zich houden aan vastgestelde richtlijnen voor het hanteren en verwijderen van gevaarlijke materialen.
