Als meubelstoffeerder bestaat je werk uit het restaureren en repareren van meubels door versleten vulling, veren en stoffen bekleding te vervangen. Hoewel je beroep misschien niet direct blootstelling aan kankerverwekkende stoffen met zich meebrengt, is het belangrijk om je bewust te zijn van mogelijke beroepsrisico’s, waaronder risico’s die indirect verband houden met kankerverwekkende risico’s binnen de stoffeerderij. <\/p>\n

Kankerverwekkende risico’s bij stoffering kunnen ontstaan door blootstelling aan bepaalde chemicali\u00ebn die bij het stofferingsproces worden gebruikt, zoals lijm, oplosmiddelen en vlamvertragers. Daarnaast kan blootstelling aan stof en vezels van stofferingsmaterialen en isolatie gezondheidsrisico’s voor de luchtwegen opleveren, hoewel deze niet noodzakelijk kankerverwekkend zijn.
\nOm deze risico’s te beperken, moeten stoffeerders prioriteit geven aan veiligheidsmaatregelen en zich houden aan de beste praktijken in hun werkomgeving. Het gebruik van goede ventilatiesystemen en het volgen van vastgestelde veiligheidsprotocollen kunnen ook helpen om de verspreiding van schadelijke stoffen op de werkplek te beperken.
