De aard van metaalbewerking en machinale bewerkingsprocessen kan bepaalde risico&#8217;s met zich meebrengen, zoals blootstelling aan metaalstof, dampen en het gebruik van snijvloeistoffen. <\/p>\n<p>Metaalstof dat vrijkomt tijdens processen zoals snijden, slijpen of frezen kan deeltjes bevatten die, wanneer ze worden ingeademd, kunnen bijdragen aan ademhalingsproblemen en na verloop van tijd het risico op longkanker kunnen verhogen. De dampen die vrijkomen tijdens het lassen of andere processen bij hoge temperaturen kunnen ook een gevaar vormen voor de luchtwegen, vooral als ze metalen bevatten zoals chroom, nikkel of mangaan. Bovendien kan het gebruik van snijvloeistoffen en andere chemicali\u00ebn bij machinale bewerking mogelijke kankerverwekkende stoffen introduceren.  <\/p>\n<p>Om deze risico&#8217;s tot een minimum te beperken, is het essentieel om veiligheidsmaatregelen te nemen en de beste werkwijzen bij metaalbewerking en machinale bewerking in acht te nemen. Het implementeren van effectieve ventilatiesystemen en het gebruik van afzuiginstallaties tijdens bewerkingsprocessen kan het inademen van metaalstof en -dampen aanzienlijk verminderen.
