Je verwijdert roet, brandgeuren en andere resten die door brand kunnen zijn ontstaan en herstelt de getroffen gebieden. Bij het herstel van brandschade kunnen verschillende kankerverwekkende stoffen vrijkomen, vooral bij het verbranden van materialen bij branden.  <\/p>\n<p>De gevaren die in verband worden gebracht met activity voor werknemers die brandschade herstellen zijn onder andere blootstelling aan rook- en roetdeeltjes tijdens het schoonmaken van brand. Het gebruik van reinigings- en ontsmettingsmiddelen tijdens het herstel van brandschade kan leiden tot blootstelling aan gevaarlijke chemicali\u00ebn. Oude gebouwen kunnen asbest of andere schadelijke stoffen bevatten die vrijkomen bij brandherstel en gezondheidsrisico&#8217;s met zich meebrengen, waaronder een langetermijnrisico op longkanker. Rookdampen van branden kunnen ook kankerverwekkende stoffen bevatten die gezondheidsproblemen kunnen veroorzaken als er niet op de juiste manier mee wordt omgegaan.   <\/p>\n<p>Het is belangrijk dat brandschadeopruimers over de juiste persoonlijke beschermingsmiddelen (PPE) beschikken, getraind zijn om met de mogelijke gevaren om te gaan en de juiste schoonmaakmethoden gebruiken om hun eigen gezondheid en veiligheid te beschermen.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Als technicus brandschadeherstel ben je gespecialiseerd in het schoonmaken, herstellen en restaureren van gebouwen en faciliteiten die door brand zijn beschadigd.
