Ze controleren en co\u00f6rdineren de acties ter plaatse, moeten snel beslissingen nemen in stressvolle en dynamische situaties en zijn verantwoordelijk voor het welzijn van hun team. <\/p>\n<p>Hoewel je hoofdtaak vaak administratief is binnen een brandweerkorps, is het belangrijk dat je je bewust bent van de mogelijke beroepsrisico&#8217;s die aan je functie verbonden zijn.<\/p>\n<p>Net als bij de brandweer is de mogelijke blootstelling aan gevaarlijke materialen en giftige stoffen die vrijkomen bij branden een grote zorg. Om dit risico tot een minimum te beperken, is het ook essentieel om de juiste persoonlijke beschermingsmiddelen (PBM) te dragen en de veiligheidsvoorschriften na te leven, en om besmette lichaamsdelen zo snel mogelijk te ontsmetten met zeep en penetrantvrije producten. <\/p>\n<p>Regelmatige gezondheidscontroles, voortdurende veiligheidstraining en bewustwording van potenti\u00eble gevaren dragen bij aan een gezondere en duurzamere carri\u00e8re bij de brandweer en andere hulpdiensten. Door prioriteit te geven aan veiligheidsmaatregelen, beschermende uitrusting te gebruiken en zich strikt te houden aan de richtlijnen van de sector, kunnen Kapiteins\/Luitenants brandweer de potenti\u00eble kankerverwekkende risico&#8217;s van hun beroep aanzienlijk beperken.
