Als Steenzetter bestaat uw taak uit het plaatsen en vastzetten van stenen in verschillende structuren en zettingen, en het is van cruciaal belang dat u zich bewust bent van mogelijke beroepsrisico’s, waaronder risico’s op kankerverwekkendheid. Door de aard van uw werk kunt u worden blootgesteld aan processtoffen die het risico op kanker kunnen verhogen. <\/p>\n

Een belangrijk kankerverwekkend risico voor steenzetters is de mogelijke blootstelling aan silicastof, dat kan ontstaan tijdens het zagen, vormen en zetten. Silicastof bevat kristallijne silica en langdurige inademing van deze stof wordt in verband gebracht met een verhoogd risico op longkanker, silicose en andere aandoeningen aan de luchtwegen. <\/p>\n

Om deze risico’s te beperken, is het essentieel om veiligheidsmaatregelen te implementeren en de beste praktijken in steenzetten na te leven. Het gebruik van natte zaag- en slijptechnieken en plaatselijke afzuigsystemen kunnen helpen om de verspreiding van silicastof op de werkplek te beheersen.
