De meest voorkomende gevaarlijke stoffen in dat verband zijn uitlaatgassen van dieselmotoren (DEG) en blootstelling aan deze dampen kan ademhalingsproblemen, hoofdpijn en misselijkheid veroorzaken.  <\/p>\n<p>Langdurige blootstelling aan DEG is een bekend carcinogeen en kan leiden tot longkanker. Het uitvoeren van een grondige risicobeoordeling voordat met het werk wordt begonnen om mogelijke gevaren te identificeren is van het grootste belang. Zorgen voor voldoende ventilatie in de truckcabine en opslagruimten om de ophoping van gevaarlijke dampen te beperken. Regelmatige gezondheidscontroles om te controleren op tekenen van blootstellingsgerelateerde ziekten.
