Dette gj\u00f8r de ved \u00e5 fokusere p\u00e5 f\u00f8lgende temaer: fysisk belastning, sveiser\u00f8yk, maskinsikkerhet, skadelig st\u00f8y, (midlertidig) arbeid i h\u00f8yden og farlige stoffer. <\/p>\n<p>Farlige stoffer i metallindustrien er blant annet metallbearbeidingsv\u00e6sker. Disse metallbearbeidingsv\u00e6skene kan v\u00e6re kreftfremkallende. <\/p>\n<h2><strong>L\u00f8sning<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>5 ganger bedre har lansert en &laquo;Forbedringssjekk Farlige stoffer&raquo; som er et praktisk verkt\u00f8y som kan brukes n\u00e5r man arbeider med farlige stoffer. Arbeidsgivere kan enkelt registrere sine farlige stoffer, kartlegge eksponeringen, iverksette tiltak og opprettholde et sunt og sikkert arbeidsmilj\u00f8. Forbedringssjekken er en nettbasert applikasjon. Utgangspunktet er et digitalt register der brukeren registrerer de farlige stoffene som brukes p\u00e5 arbeidsplassen. En database som allerede inneholder de vanligste stoffene i industrien, er koblet til registeret. N\u00e5r en bruker legger til et stoff som allerede finnes i databasen, kommer all relevant informasjon (f.eks. eksponeringsniv\u00e5er, sikre m\u00e5ter \u00e5 arbeide med stoffet p\u00e5) automatisk opp. Alt brukeren trenger \u00e5 gj\u00f8re, er \u00e5 iverksette tiltak for \u00e5 redusere eksponeringen for stoffene p\u00e5 arbeidsplassen og opprettholde et sunt og trygt arbeidsmilj\u00f8 (f.eks. ved \u00e5 gi oppl\u00e6ring til de ansatte).      <\/p>\n<h2><strong>Resultat<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Arbeidsgivere reduserer arbeidsmengden de m\u00e5 gj\u00f8re for \u00e5 oppfylle lovkravene ved \u00e5 bruke den elektroniske applikasjonen, og de skaper ogs\u00e5 et sunnere og tryggere arbeidsmilj\u00f8. Det reduserer arbeidsmengden p\u00e5 f\u00f8lgende m\u00e5te: I henhold til nederlandsk lovgivning m\u00e5 bedrifter som arbeider med farlige stoffer, foreta en eksponeringsvurdering for hvert enkelt stoff. Med forbedringssjekken blir dette overfl\u00f8dig fordi 5 times better allerede har gjort disse vurderingene for de stoffene som er vanlige i metallindustrien. De har ogs\u00e5 laget sikre arbeidsprosedyrer som har blitt vurdert positivt av inspeksjonen. Alt arbeidsgiveren trenger \u00e5 gj\u00f8re, er \u00e5 sjekke om de arbeider i henhold til disse prosedyrene. I s\u00e5 fall vet de at de jobber trygt.     <\/p>\n<p>De sikre arbeidsprosedyrene utvides kontinuerlig i
