Kiilto bruker en rekke r\u00e5materialer, blant annet et kreftfremkallende stoff (N-(hydroksymetyl)akrylamid), isocyanater og noen mutagene og reproduksjonsskadelige kjemikalier. Kiilto har 200 ansatte, hvorav omtrent halvparten er eksponert for farlige kjemikalier.  <\/p>\n<p>Kiilto har som m\u00e5l \u00e5 redusere arbeidernes eksponering for disse farlige stoffene gjennoma) eliminering av farlige kjemikalier fra produksjonsprosessen (stans i produksjonen av l\u00f8semiddelbaserte lim)<br \/>\nb) tekniske tiltak (for eksempel bruk av det kreftfremkallende stoffet N-(hydroksymetyl)akrylamid i et lukket system, bruk av ventilasjonssystemer og eksponeringsscenarier)<br \/>\nc) organisatoriske tiltak (som en spesifikk prosess for utvelgelse av nye kjemikalier, omfattende oppl\u00e6ring av arbeidstakerne med krav om at alle arbeidstakere m\u00e5 ha et finsk<br \/>\nsikkerhetskort)<br \/>\nd) anskaffelse av personlig verneutstyr (PPE) (med klare anbefalinger).<\/p>\n<p>Det europeiske arbeidsmilj\u00f8byr\u00e5et har publisert en casestudie om kontroll av arbeidstakeres eksponering for kjemikalier under limproduksjon.
