Arbeidets art, inkludert oppgaver som skj\u00e6ring, sveising og forming av metall, kan f\u00f8re til eksponering for farlige stoffer som kan \u00f8ke risikoen for \u00e5 utvikle kreft. <\/p>\n<p>Den prim\u00e6re risikoen for kreftfremkallende stoffer for Platearbeidere stammer ofte fra r\u00f8yk og st\u00f8v fra metallbearbeiding, samt eksponering for visse metallbelegg, maling og l\u00f8semidler.
