Det er viktig \u00e5 v\u00e6re klar over at yrket ditt direkte inneb\u00e6rer eksponering for kreftfremkallende stoffer.   <\/p>\n<p>Kreftfremkallende risikoer i trearbeid kan oppst\u00e5 p\u00e5 grunn av eksponering for visse kjemikalier og materialer som brukes i trearbeidsprosessen. For eksempel kan trearbeidere komme i kontakt med trest\u00f8v. Langvarig eksponering for trest\u00f8v, spesielt fra hardtre, kan \u00f8ke risikoen for luftveisproblemer og visse typer kreft, som nese- og bihulekreft.    <\/p>\n<p>For \u00e5 redusere disse risikoene b\u00f8r snekkere prioritere sikkerhetstiltak og f\u00f8lge beste praksis i arbeidsmilj\u00f8et. Regelmessig rengj\u00f8ring av arbeidsomr\u00e5der for \u00e5 fjerne oppsamlet trest\u00f8v og spon er viktig for \u00e5 opprettholde et trygt arbeidsmilj\u00f8. I tillegg b\u00f8r snekkere v\u00e6re \u00e5rv\u00e5kne n\u00e5r det gjelder riktig h\u00e5ndtering og oppbevaring av trebelegg, lim og andre kjemikalier for \u00e5 minimere eksponering for farlige stoffer.    <\/p>\n<p>Deltakelse i oppl\u00e6ringsprogrammer for helse og sikkerhet, bevissthet om bransjestandarder og forskrifter, og implementering av beste praksis for st\u00f8vkontroll og ventilasjon er n\u00f8kkelen til \u00e5 redusere risikoen for yrkesfarer i trearbeid.
