Du fjerner sot, brannlukt og andre rester som kan v\u00e6re for\u00e5rsaket av en brann, og restaurerer de ber\u00f8rte omr\u00e5dene. Ulike kreftfremkallende stoffer kan frigj\u00f8res under brannskadesanering, spesielt fra forbrenning av materialer i branner.  <\/p>\n<p>Farene som er forbundet med denne aktiviteten for brannsaneringsarbeidere, omfatter eksponering for r\u00f8yk- og sotpartikler under brannslukking. Bruk av rengj\u00f8rings- og desinfeksjonsmidler under brannsanering kan f\u00f8re til eksponering for farlige kjemikalier. Gamle bygninger kan inneholde asbest eller andre skadelige stoffer som kan frigj\u00f8res under brannsanering og utgj\u00f8re en helserisiko, inkludert langsiktig risiko for lungekreft.
