Ke\u010f\u017ee m\u00f4\u017ee prenika\u0165 cez ko\u017eu, relevantn\u00fdmi cestami expoz\u00edcie s\u00fa inhal\u00e1cia aj kontakt s poko\u017ekou.<br \/>\nT\u00e1to l\u00e1tka je pod\u013ea nariadenia E\u00da o klasifik\u00e1cii, ozna\u010dovan\u00ed a balen\u00ed (CLP) zaraden\u00e1 medzi l\u00e1tky podozriv\u00e9 z karcinog\u00e9nnosti u \u013eud\u00ed (kateg\u00f3ria 1B). <\/p>\n<h2>Kde sa vyskytuj\u00fa rizik\u00e1<\/h2>\n<p>K expoz\u00edcii pyrokatecholu pri pr\u00e1ci doch\u00e1dza hlavne v chemickom a farmaceutickom priemysle, pri technickom testovan\u00ed a anal\u00fdzach, ako aj v niektor\u00fdch nadv\u00e4zuj\u00facich odvetviach, ako s\u00fa \u00faprava povrchov, elektronika, v\u00fdroba gumy a plastov a stroj\u00e1rstvo.<br \/>\nMedzi odborn\u00edkov s najvy\u0161\u0161\u00edm rizikom expoz\u00edcie pykatecholu patria oper\u00e1tori procesov, destil\u00e1cia, mie\u0161anie a prev\u00e1dzkovatelia cisternov\u00e9ho hospod\u00e1rstva, ako aj pracovn\u00edci \u00fadr\u017eby, laborat\u00f3rni technici a analytick\u00ed chemici. Expoz\u00edcii m\u00f4\u017eu by\u0165 vystaven\u00ed aj pracovn\u00edci v galvanizovniach a pracovn\u00edci zaoberaj\u00faci sa povrchovou \u00fapravou a v\u00fdrobou elektroniky.<br \/>\nK expoz\u00edcii doch\u00e1dza naj\u010dastej\u0161ie pri \u010dinnostiach, pri ktor\u00fdch sa s l\u00e1tkou manipuluje v otvoren\u00fdch syst\u00e9moch alebo kde nie je \u00faplne \u00fa\u010dinn\u00e9 zadr\u017eanie l\u00e1tky, napr\u00edklad pri mie\u0161an\u00ed alebo zmie\u0161an\u00ed, pri m\u00e1\u010dan\u00ed, nan\u00e1\u0161an\u00ed povlakov alebo pri procesoch povrchovej \u00fapravy. K \u010fal\u0161ej expoz\u00edcii m\u00f4\u017ee d\u00f4js\u0165 po\u010das \u00fadr\u017ebov\u00fdch a \u010distiacich pr\u00e1c.  <\/p>\n<h2>Viac o l\u00e1tke<\/h2>\n<p>Pyrokatechol je pri izbovej teplote pevn\u00e1 l\u00e1tka, ktor\u00e1 sa zvy\u010dajne vyskytuje vo forme bielej a\u017e hnedej kry\u0161talickej l\u00e1tky, ktor\u00e1 m\u00f4\u017ee pri expoz\u00edcii vzduchu stmavn\u00fa\u0165. Pyrokatechol sa ve\u013emi dobre rozp\u00fa\u0161\u0165a vo vode a v mnoh\u00fdch organick\u00fdch rozp\u00fa\u0161\u0165adl\u00e1ch. <\/p>\n<p>Pyrokatechol nie je za be\u017en\u00fdch podmienok vysoko hor\u013eav\u00fd ani v\u00fdbu\u0161n\u00fd. Pri manipul\u00e1cii v pevnom stave sa v\u0161ak m\u00f4\u017ee vytv\u00e1ra\u0165 prach a pri zahrievan\u00ed v priemyseln\u00fdch procesoch alebo pri pou\u017eit\u00ed v kvapalnej forme m\u00f4\u017ee doch\u00e1dza\u0165 k uvo\u013e\u0148ovaniu aeros\u00f3lov alebo v\u00fdparov. <\/p>\n<p>Pou\u017e\u00edva sa hlavne ako medziprodukt pri v\u00fdrobe in\u00fdch l\u00e1tok a v\u00fdrobkov. Medzi najv\u00e4\u010d\u0161ie kateg\u00f3rie kone\u010dn\u00fdch v\u00fdrobkov, v ktor\u00fdch sa pyrokatechol vyu\u017e\u00edva, patria agrochemik\u00e1lie (prostriedky na ochranu rastl\u00edn), ar\u00f3my a v\u00f4ne (napr. vanil\u00edn, vo\u0148av\u00e9 v\u00fdrobky pre dom\u00e1cnos\u0165), lie\u010div\u00e1 a pr\u00edsady do gumy a polym\u00e9rov pre plasty, pneumatiky a gumov\u00e9 v\u00fdrobky. <\/p>\n<h2>Zdravotn\u00e9 rizik\u00e1, ktor\u00e9 sa m\u00f4\u017eu vyskytn\u00fa\u0165<\/h2>\n<p>Expoz\u00edcia p\u00f4sobeniu pyrokatecholu m\u00f4\u017ee d\u00f4js\u0165 vd\u00fdchnut\u00edm prachu alebo v\u00fdparov, ako aj pri kontakte s poko\u017ekou.<br \/>\nKr\u00e1tkodob\u00e1 expoz\u00edcia m\u00f4\u017ee vies\u0165 k pr\u00edznakom, ako je ka\u0161e\u013e, podr\u00e1\u017edenie hrdla, podr\u00e1\u017edenie o\u010d\u00ed a za\u010dervenanie ko\u017ee alebo nepr\u00edjemn\u00e9 pocity. Ve\u013emi vysok\u00e1 expoz\u00edcia (napr\u00edklad pri po\u017eit\u00ed) m\u00f4\u017ee ma\u0165 za n\u00e1sledok z\u00e1va\u017enej\u0161ie toxick\u00e9 \u00fa\u010dinky. Po opakovanej expoz\u00edcii m\u00f4\u017ee tie\u017e sp\u00f4sobi\u0165 alergick\u00e9 ko\u017en\u00e9 reakcie.<br \/>\nDlhodob\u00e1 expoz\u00edcia m\u00f4\u017ee vies\u0165 k z\u00e1va\u017enej\u0161\u00edm zdravotn\u00fdm \u00fa\u010dinkom, vr\u00e1tane zv\u00fd\u0161en\u00e9ho rizika rakoviny, depigment\u00e1cie ko\u017ee, chronickej dermatit\u00eddy a respira\u010dn\u00fdch \u00fa\u010dinkov.  <\/p>\n<h2>\u010co m\u00f4\u017eete urobi\u0165<\/h2>\n<p>Prioritou by mala by\u0165 n\u00e1hrada. Pokia\u013e je to mo\u017en\u00e9, pyrokatechol by sa mal nahradi\u0165 menej nebezpe\u010dn\u00fdmi l\u00e1tkami alebo alternat\u00edvnymi postupmi, ktor\u00e9 zni\u017euj\u00fa expoz\u00edciu. Mo\u017en\u00e9 n\u00e1hrady za pyrokatechol (katechol) z\u00e1visia od jeho \u00falohy: hydrochin\u00f3n, rezorcinol a pyrogallol ho m\u00f4\u017eu nahradi\u0165 v niektor\u00fdch podobn\u00fdch chemick\u00fdch alebo redoxn\u00fdch aplik\u00e1ci\u00e1ch; kyselina gallov\u00e1 alebo kyselina tan\u00ednov\u00e1 m\u00f4\u017eu by\u0165 vhodn\u00e9 na chelat\u00e1ciu kovov; a kyselina askorbov\u00e1 alebo borohydrid sodn\u00fd m\u00f4\u017eu niekedy nahradi\u0165 pyrokatechol ako reduk\u010dn\u00e9 \u010dinidl\u00e1. Najvhodnej\u0161ia alternat\u00edva z\u00e1vis\u00ed od konkr\u00e9tneho pou\u017eitia, ke\u010f\u017ee tieto zl\u00fa\u010deniny maj\u00fa odli\u0161n\u00fa reaktivitu.   <\/p>\n<p>Technick\u00e9 opatrenia s\u00fa nevyhnutn\u00e9 v pr\u00edpadoch, ke\u010f nie je mo\u017en\u00e1 n\u00e1hrada. Patria sem pou\u017e\u00edvanie uzavret\u00fdch syst\u00e9mov a automatiz\u00e1cia, miestne ods\u00e1vanie v miestach emisi\u00ed a \u00fa\u010dinn\u00e9 v\u0161eobecn\u00e9 vetranie. Tieto opatrenia pom\u00e1haj\u00fa zni\u017eova\u0165 koncentr\u00e1cie v\u00fdparov a prachu vo vzduchu.<br \/>\nOrganiza\u010dn\u00e9 opatrenia zah\u0155\u0148aj\u00fa obmedzenie d\u013a\u017eky expoz\u00edcie, poskytovanie \u0161kolen\u00ed pracovn\u00edkom (napr\u00edklad o rizik\u00e1ch expoz\u00edcie cez ko\u017eu), zavedenie postupov bezpe\u010dnej manipul\u00e1cie a zabezpe\u010denie vhodn\u00fdch met\u00f3d \u010distenia, ktor\u00e9 minimalizuj\u00fa tvorbu prachu. Odpor\u00fa\u010da sa pravideln\u00e9 monitorovanie \u00farovn\u00ed expoz\u00edcie.   <\/p>\n<p>Osobn\u00e1 ochrana by sa mala pou\u017e\u00edva\u0165 ako posledn\u00e1 l\u00ednia obrany. Osobitn\u00fa pozornos\u0165 treba venova\u0165 zabr\u00e1neniu kontaktu s poko\u017ekou, ke\u010f\u017ee l\u00e1tka sa m\u00f4\u017ee vstreb\u00e1va\u0165 cez ko\u017eu.
