Za hlavn\u00fd sp\u00f4sob expoz\u00edcie sa pova\u017euje inhal\u00e1cia, ale pracovn\u00edci m\u00f4\u017eu by\u0165 vystaven\u00ed aj ko\u017en\u00e9mu kontaktu. Epichl\u00f3rhydr\u00edn je klasifikovan\u00fd ako karcinog\u00e9nna kateg\u00f3ria 1B (pod\u013ea nariadenia CLP (Klasifik\u00e1cia, ozna\u010dovanie a balenie)), \u010do znamen\u00e1, \u017ee sa na z\u00e1klade d\u00f4kazov v testoch na zvierat\u00e1ch predpoklad\u00e1 jeho karcinog\u00e9nny potenci\u00e1l pre \u013eud\u00ed. Epoxidov\u00e9 \u017eivice maj\u00fa r\u00f4zne aplik\u00e1cie v priemyseln\u00fdch odvetviach, ako s\u00fa farby, lepidl\u00e1, automobilov\u00fd a leteck\u00fd priemysel, Stavebn\u00edctvo, zariadenia na v\u00fdrobu energie z obnovite\u013en\u00fdch zdrojov a elektronika (pou\u017e\u00edvaj\u00fa sa na dosky s plo\u0161n\u00fdmi spojmi a na zapuzdrenie elektronick\u00fdch s\u00fa\u010diastok s cie\u013eom chr\u00e1ni\u0165 ich pred po\u0161koden\u00edm). Epichl\u00f3rhydr\u00edn sa \u010falej pou\u017e\u00edva v \u0161peci\u00e1lnych \u017eiviciach a polym\u00e9roch na \u00fapravu vody, \u017eiviciach s vysokou pevnos\u0165ou za mokra pre papierensk\u00fd priemysel alebo prostredn\u00edctvom i\u00f3novej v\u00fdmeny na \u010distenie vzduchu a vody. Okrem toho sa pou\u017e\u00edva ako rozp\u00fa\u0161\u0165adlo pre estery a \u00e9tery celul\u00f3zy, pri spracovan\u00ed vlny a bavlny a v gum\u00e1rensk\u00fdch procesoch.
