The restoration of a several centuries old manor required the use of materials that matched the historic ambiance.
The substitution – Casein paints
Casein paints were used for interior wall decoration. When restoring historic monuments, highly breathable paints that protected the original materials were required.
Casein paints fulfilled this requirement, since they are hard wearing as well as environmentally friendly. They are free of titanium dioxide, VOC, solvents, acrylic and of mineral oil.
Casein paint is supplied as a powder, white as standard, but may be tinted with earth pigments provided by the same producer.
It is suitable for plaster, clay (may cause hair-line cracks), wood, sand lime-brick, gypsum board, wallpapers etc.
