New: inspection cases

Labour inspectorates across Europe carry with them a wealth of practical experience stemming from their years of inspections and regulatory OSH enforcement. This frontline expertise is essential, not only for enhancing national inspection strategies, but also for advancing mutual learning across Member States. To make the most of this collective knowledge, we are pleased to announce the launch of a new dedicated platform on our website (Search Inspections – STOP carcinogens at work).

Over the past year, the Roadmap on Carcinogens team have been working with SLIC Chemex, a collective of professionals that promote consistency, as far as possible, in the application of the secondary EU law on health and safety of chemicals at work, resulting in sharing valuable results of inspectorates throughout the EU.

Mutual learning and exchange of knowledge

This space has been designed for labour inspectorates to share inspection cases to fostering collaboration, mutual learning and exchange of knowledge in the field of OSH enforcement, in particular regarding carcinogens. However, this information is also accessible to all visitors of the website, providing insight into the activities of inspectorates to all.

What the platform offers

The platform serves as a central repository where inspectorates can:

  • Share real-world cases that illustrate approaches to educate companies on how to assess and take appropriate measures to reduce exposure to hazardous chemical substances, especially carcinogens.
  • Support businesses by informing them of the national labour inspectorate’s inspection activities.
  • Further promote mutual learning by exchanging insights and strategies with other inspectorates across Europe.

Share your inspection cases

By contributing to this platform, inspectorates can help build a stronger, more informed community of practice. Whether it’s a case that shows what worked—or one that reveals what didn’t—your insights can make a difference.
